Biography
"I fell in love with the harp in 1993 after seeing a performance
at a Ren Faire. I began taking lessons and I was pleasantly surprised
at how quickly I could pick up various tunes by ear.
In 1997 a friend encouraged me to play for an elegant coffee & dessert
café, which lead to wedding gigs and dinner parties. I attended the Somerset
Folk Harp Festival and was blown away by the number of workshops. I learned
that there are no limitations, you can play just about anything on the
harp, and I began to add Latin American, Jazz and show tunes to my repertoire.
Also, I met the director and founder of Bedside Harp, and I signed up
for their harp therapy certification program. Following the completion
my certifications, which included an internship of 240 hours of harp therapy
sessions, I now play in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living and
senior residences.”
